Taking up our exhibition Dipl.-Ing. Arsitek: An Indonesian-German Architectural History, shown from 21 November to 18 December 2024 in Berlin, the German online magazine Baunetz asked us to tell the story for their weekly theme paper. Together with my co-author Eduard Kögel, I report on the life and work of five Indonesian architects, namely Han Awal, Bianpoen, Mustafa Pamuntjak, Soejoedi Wirjoatmodjo und Suwondo Bismo Sutedjo.
